We took a fun but cold beach trip at the end of May that the whole of the Ellsworth was able to attend. Merlin got pretty traumatized the the 55* water. Too bad its a lot closer than Hawaii Merlin! Mer did brave the water for about a half an hour to surf the itty bitty waves. Everyone else around that got in the water were if full body wet suits except us. Evan acted like he was starving every time I sat him downin the sand - shoveling it in his mouth as fast as he could. I thought he'd start to understand that it wasn't yummy at one point, but he never got it.

We went on a long repelling trip to Zion and left Evan with his Aunt Karen. It ended up taking at least 11 hours and included 10 repels of over 1000 feet total! Merlin of course said it was a pretty easy hike, but I on the other hand haven't been so sore in a loooong time. This is the tallest rappel that was like 160 feet.
Anyways summer feels like it is officially here. Which means Evan and I are not venturing out into the blazing 107* weather today- or likey any other day for the next 8 weeks unless there is a pool involved. I did some arands the other day and it felt like I was carrying around a little furnace. Nevermind that he is 26 lb. :)
My Grampa Lewis Odom died last week .:( He'd been diagnosed with cancer a couple months ago and really started to feel pain 2 weeks before he died. We're all glad he's pain free now and is with his sweetheart, but we'll miss him! LOVE YOU GRAMPS!
