Evan is here!

Evan was born in October 9lb 4 oz, 20 inches long.

SOooo my water broke at midnight and contractions started soon after. I ended up doing about 18 hours of labor (not fun!) before going to the hospital because I wasn't dialating. Evan ended up coming into the world via c-section. It was not what we planned on but we are both happy and healthy, which is what is important! -and I'm so happy not to be pregnant anymore!
When we got to the hospital in Mesquite I think we were the only ones in the maternity ward so we were pretty pampered.
Now an overloaderture of pictures!

Grandma Jeri! Evan is her 10th grand baby.

Arn't my boys cute!? Merlin is laughing cuz he kissed him and Evan promptly frowned.

I couldn't ask for a better Daddy for my little boy!

The waiting game

SO with only a week and 2 days left till my due date I'm getting ANTSY!! We strolled around the neighborhood to see if anyone has a trampoline to get labor started:)... No we didn't find one:(.
Merlin informed me that it would be HIGHLY inconvenient for me to have the baby this week because it is customer appreciation week- thus they get breakfast and party some of the week. Apparently the baby needs to come on his schedule. Next week would be more convenient when he has normal week and can take some paternity leave. Ha ha. I'll let him think it was my idea to wait if the babe doesn't come till then...
Raylyce took some pictures of me last week after the baby shower. Here is one.

Merlin got his buck!

I wouldn't recommend watching this if you don't like to see a little blood.

And yes we are gonna eat Bambi. Merlin's dad, Ivan took him home to butcher and I am SO thankful!...I was worried Merlin might try to get me to do it...

I have less than a month now till the due date of our unnamed boy! We're excited to be parents!

Our Top names as of now are:

1. Evan

2. Barry

3. Jack

But we do have a list of over 50 names written down, and could end up choosing something different. We're not too worried about it. Merlin is just happy that I've changed my mind from naming him King Jack Wollenzien (Cool huh!?- don't know why he didn't like it:).

Anyway we broke our camera :( so we only have the video camera and no super-sexy preggers pictures of myself to post. I know...sniffle sniffle. I really wanted to post pictures of my humongous self (sarcasm). We'll have to get a camera before the babe comes though, fo sho.

Hope everyones having a wonderful day! Happy Halloween Everyone!

Family Reunion

So I guess I have to start backwards sense that's how the puter downloads them. Merlin and like 30 other of the Clan went on a 11-14 mile hike at Glacier park in and got a few pictures before my camera gave up the ghost.
Here is Uncle John and Aunt Donna and two other adventurers. I was at home puking all day:(, but I wouldn't have been able to go anyways I guess.
Here is Bear poop! Its full of huckleberries, which we stopped and picked on our bike ride! I wish I could have seen a bear:(!

The Glacier National Park is beautiful!

I attempted fishing at uncle Barry's house. Not successful :(.

So before heading to Montana, Mer took me on a date to Thanksgiving point and we rode Segways. It was really fun!
At Beaver, Ivan built a retaining wall on his property. It's pretty.
Isn't Merlin adorable?

Emily went to DC...

SO I am not a photogenic pregnant woman. But that's OK. Just don't call me fat please!:)
I went to visit my sister Ashley Coder and her family last week in Washington DC. It was a fun, relaxing vacation. Luckily the kids slowed Ashley down so that I could keep up with her!
We went to Gettysburg one day to tour around. Before we even started the tour that covered like a 25 mile radius (in the car) the kids were ready to leave (it was cute- luckily they all fell asleep eventually).
Here is one of those silly un-photogenic pictures of me.

All the Museums and practically everything in DC is free! Sweet nectar! We saw all the important stuff- ruby slippers, dresses of the first ladies, the 220 million painting by Di Vinci. OK maybe not the REALLY important stuff but I can save those all for a time when my feet don't hurting so much!

Here is the 220 million painting by Di Vinci. Kinda boring and small huh? I'm not a real painting buff, though I definitely appreciate the monetary value!

Mostly I just had fun seeing Ashley's kiddies! They are so fun and cute! I sure miss them all being so far away!

The Baby is a...

Had my big ultrasound yesterday at 20 weeks. Here is our baby!

He has Merlin's big lips! Can you guess if its a boy or girl yet?

This ones kinda freaky-cool. It was cool cuz he was moving around a lot and we could see his little 3D body squiggling. It's pretty amazing what they can do these days!
So ya, our baby has a weiner! Were both pretty excited. I actually thought I was having a girl, my "mothers intuition" was telling me so. Wrong!

Here is a belly picture. We went to the Blue Man Group this last week with Kathryn Osmond, who was driving through Vegas. I'm standing by the huge mounds of toilet like paper they pour on the audience.

Other news: We just put in a offer on a house here in good old (HOT) Logandale, NV today!
Were both pretty excited about it! We know someone else has put in an offer too, but we'll find out next week if we get it!

April showers and sunshine!

April has been eventful. A couple interesting things have happened...

Merlin's younger brother, Robert was in an ATV accident here with a friend, Lindsey Muir. Robert made it out with some torn ligaments in his thumb, punctured lung, and a couple broken cervical vertebrae(no paralysis), and he'll have a harry potter like scar on his head. He was released from the hospital after being in it for 4 days, which everyone is excited about. He's such a trooper!
It has been a long week for us waiting for new about Lindsey's condition. She came to the hospital unconscious and in very serious condition. The doctors say she's definitely on the uphill. Shes' given thumbs up multiple times and opened her eyes for 5 minutes on Saturday, which is all wonderful news. You can see her current condition updates on facebook page searching for 'Pray for Lindsey Muir'. Please keep her in your prayers and any fasts that you make! Prayer definitely works!

On another note,
we were able to go to a wedding in Arizona for Jared and Anepo Hinton, who Merlin and I both new from Hawaii.
I was finally able to meet the renowned Jon Crockett and Jason Snelson, which was SO thrilling. We went repelling off a 150ft cliff, ate at Carolina's(Mexican yummyness), saw a high school production of into the woods and attended the most amazing, enlightening temple wedding ceremony.
One more thing I guess I haven't really announced, well sort of, but anyways, were having a baby! Were really excited! I'm really glad my nauseousness is over(practically). I'll be really excited once the baby is just finally here! Every baby I see I just wanna grab and snuggle the crap out of it! I'm due Oct 14th and am nearly 15 weeks now. Whoo hoo! were excited!

Late February post

So I started this one like a month ago but never got around to posting it. Opps! My bad.
We got a new bed! Woo hoo! Did i mention we were sleeping on a full? We went garage selling last week and I just knew I was gonna find a king and- BAM! There it was. I know... its kinda dorky of me but I was super excited! I actually kept waking up the first night we slept on it because my subconcious kept telling me to spread out more.

We went to Disneyland on valentines weekend. It was fun but still crouded even though it was raining. The first ride Merlin wanted to go on was af couse splash mountain. The fool tht i am decided not to put my pancho on and-BAM-crotch wet. I was pretty miserable for a good hour till we went on space mountain. Then I got to squish Mer real good and that cheered me up:).
We went back to our hotel at about 4 to dry our soggy shoes and take a nap, and I think were gonna start doing that from now on. We went back after we at and went on some more rides and watched the frieworks. I grabbed Mer's pace counter thing before we left and had him put it on at d-land and we walked over 25,300 paces! I'm not sure how many feet that is becasue we haven't measured our pace yet but I thought It was pretty cool.
On Saterday we went to the Newport Temple. Merlin wants our room (probobly our whole house actually) to be painted like their Terrestrial room. It had an ocean beach scene, with sea gulls, waves and all, pretty sweet.

This is a yummy picture of Mermer in front of some pretty bushes at the Temple.
After we went to the Huntington Beach peir and ate and walked around. I wanted to jump in the water but Merlin was afraid of getting hypothermia. I decided that getting in the water in feburary wasn't a good idea considering Merlin would probobly compare it to the warm waters of his beloved Hawaii and hold a grudge.
Anyways we headed over to Santa ana Zoo. We watched some cute lil monkeys swing around in the cage but everything else was asleep or seemed to be taking care of some 'personal' buisness<-. not much besides monkeys or other little creatures. Kinda wanted to see some lions or tigers or bears. Something a little more ferocious. O well.

January..

...where did it go? Well i was finnally able to drag (jk) Merlin away to the snow to go snowboarding for his first couple of times. Dang, he was a natural! He picked it up as if he were the lion taimer and the mountain a lion! He taimed it alright! Started carving on his second run. But then again he did have an excellent teacher...me! The first trip we went with his cousins Scott and Eric and their ladies. Such Soft powdery snow and not a cloud or breeze to behold! The next trip my mom and my brothers, Micky and Evan came. Next time I'm gonna make everyone where their cells so we dont loose everyone after the first run!

I've really enjoyed just being a housewife for the past month! Sence I cant really work till they get me my license all I can do is chill (Its all kind of annoying process). So making menus for two, keeping the house clean and reading to my hearts content have been passing the days. I did get some sculpting clay a couple weeks ago and have been making some sketches of what I want to do and have decided upon some beachy creations before I head into doing african animals for a futures baby room decoraion. When im finished I'll post some pictures!

So to pass the evening Merlin and I usually play games. Our favorites at the moment are Mexican Train Dominoes, Rook, Scrabble and Monopoly(he probobly wouldn't agree with me on this one sence I beat him pretty hard core last time:)).

Anyways Merlin and I just got a new calling a couple weeks ago and were team-teaching the 16-17 years olds sunday school. Were both really excited about it and just taught for the first time yesterday. I've decided I'm pretty content just to hear Mer teach and learn from his words of wisdom, but I'm not sure he'll let me get away with that.

I love Merlinitis.
